Aus diesem Grund werden die Radwellen der ICE-Baureihe regelm\u00e4\u00dfig mittels Ultraschall untersucht, um auch kleinste Defekte bereits fr\u00fchzeitig erkennen und bewerten zu k\u00f6nnen. F\u00fcr den sicheren Betrieb ben\u00f6tigt das Ultraschallverfahren eine Mindesttemperatur der Radwelle von einigen Plusgraden, die im Winter nicht sichergestellt werden kann. Mit Hilfe von Spezialinduktoren, die in die hohlen Radwellen eingef\u00fchrt werden, k\u00f6nnen diese in rund 15 Minuten auf die Zieltemperatur gebracht werden, wodurch eine sehr kostspielige,
